Why Weight Training Is So Effective For Getting Rid Of Stubborn Fat!

Why Does Gaining Muscle Aid in Fat Loss?

If You didn’t know, gaining muscle actually goes hand in hand with losing weight!

In fact, gaining muscle is one of the best ways to burn fat and turn your body into a fat burning machine. You can be burning fat while you sleep, sit and even while you’re eating pizza!

If you’re serious about losing weight the best thing you could do is start weight training, put on muscle which will increase your metabolism and will change your body composition (lowered body fat, increased muscle mass) over time.

The Mistake Most People Make

The mistake most people make is decreasing their calories and then increasing cardio.

If this is all you do, it puts your body into a stress state, shoots up cortisol and can make your body start devouring its own muscle (catabolic) as an energy source. The reason for this is muscle is broken down more easily by the body and your body adapts to its environment, where if there is no reason your muscles are being used (only doing cardio paired with starving yourself), it will just wither away.

And so by increasing cortisol, you stall fat burn and because you are losing muscle, you are decreasing your metabolism.

What You Need To Do

If you want to lose weight for life and want a crazy metabolism that allows you to eat anything you want, you have to put on muscle!

So now that you know that’s the secret, how do you do it?

First you need to increase your protein. You should be eating approximately 0.5-1 gram of protein for every pound you weigh

You have to increase protein because you need to feed your muscles. They don’t grow if you don’t feed them, and proteins (amino acids) are the building blocks to muscle.

Second you have to start a strength routine.

There’re tons of strength routines online!

Don’t go for super complex ones. Simple, compound movements such as squats, deadlifts and bench press are staples for any strength routine.

After a few months, you will really start to see the benefits. You will see muscle growth and your metabolism which will increase your metabolism, allowing you to burn fat and lose weight!
