How did you get started with Fitness?
I have always been involved with sports and fitness throughout my life. I was an Irish Celtic dancer until I got injured and danced throughout high school but I found a love for going to the gym about 2 years ago once I graduated and needed to find another way to stay fit.
Where does your motivation come from?
My motivation comes from making my friends and family proud of me. Regardless of anything I accomplish and anything I could ever do in my life I just want to know the people who love and care for me are also proud of the things I have accomplished.
What workout routine has worked best for you?
I tend to be someone who works out for a little under 2 hours but the gym is where I tend to be happiest so:
- 10 mins of cardio warmup (biking)
- 45-1 hour & 30 mins of strength training
- 30-45 mins of core
- 20-45 mins of cardio
- 20 mins of stretching
To change it up I try to do either boxing, yoga or some type of fitness activity to make sure I am always surprising my body and always growing.
Please provide a typical week of workouts including cardio:
Typically I work out 6-7 days per week and this is how my week looks:
Sunday
Strength training: Back & Biceps
Cardio: 45 mins of stepper
Monday
Strength training: Light Leg Day (Hamstring and glute focused)
Cardio: Incline Walk- 25 mins
Tuesday
Strength training: Shoulders & Triceps
Cardio: 45 mins of stair climber
Wednesday
Strength training: Leg Day (Quad focused)
Cardio: Incline Walk- 25 mins
Thursday- Break Day/Hot Yoga/Spin/Barre
On Thursday (depending on my schedule and how I feel) I either do a cardio based class or take a break. Your muscles can’t develop without breaks!
Friday
Strength: Heavy Leg Day
Cardio: 45 mins- incline walking
Saturday- Boxing
What is your favorite bodypart to workout and why? What advice would you give others trying to bring this out?
I love doing legs because I tend to fell the strongest whenever I work out legs!
If you are looking to build your legs then trust the process and do things with the right form! Everyone now wants the perfect butt and everything like that but make sure you are lifting safely before moving up to heavy weights!
If you had to pick only (3) Excercises what would they be and why?:
- Squats- because not only do you get a good booty workout but its amazing for your entire body! And there are so many different variations
- Pull-ups! I have no idea why but I am obsessed with trying to do pull-ups with no assist
- Boxing- if I had to give up boxing I would be a very angry person all the time!
What is your diet like? How important is your diet to your results?
I believe in the 80/20 rule- generally speaking I eat incredibly healthy with low carbs, sugars and very clean food, but with that said I also carb-load after a heavy set leg day and I enjoy a nice glass of Bourbon.
My diet is important to maintain my results but making sure I am enjoying my life and not depriving myself is just as important.
Example of a typical day of eating:
Breakfast- Oatmeal or greek yogurt w/ protein powder & coconut flakes
Snack- Green Tea & Banana
Lunch- Either a green salad w/ hard boiled eggs or LeanOnMeals Basa w/ green beans
GYM
Snack 2; Protein Shake- Almond Milk w/ Protein Powder
Dinner: Baked Buffalo Cauliflower Salad

Ashley Resch’s favorite choice on the Lean On Meals menu!
What is one food you couldn’t live without and how do you handle food cravings? Do you have a cheat day or Cheat meal?
I love pizza, every type (expect Hawaiian) and everything about it! I never deprive myself and if I am craving food I allow myself a healthy dose to avoid binging. I typically allow myself cheat meals when I need them. Because I eat healthy I don’t crave unhealthy food but if I am craving it I allow myself an option or make sure I do a little extra work at the gym that day.
What is your supplementation like?
I used to be all about finding the right supplementation but now I just rely on a good diet and lots of protein!
What is your favorite quote?
It would be:
“The journey is better than the final destination”
