We can eat for energy, to lose bodyfat, to gain muscle, to prevent and fight illness and disease, or to socialize and enjoy.
Knowing why we are eating will help us reach our desired outcomes whatever that may be. Falsely eating something because we are told it is healthy can often lead to confusion.

Most Adults cannot properly digest milk
For most of our lives, we have been told to drink milk and that it is healthy. Based on further research, from what we’ve been told this can be seen as being further from the truth.
Most adults cannot properly digest milk, and milk is loaded with sugars that are very difficult for your body to break down. This sugar is lactose, and even though we may think we are okay drinking milk most humans are lactose intolerant to a greater extent. This results in symptoms of nausea, cramps, bloating, and diarrhea .
To add to the common misconception, calcium from cow’s milk is very difficult for humans to absorb. This can be especially true for pasteurized milk which is most readily available for us to purchase. To add to this research has show, that Cow’s milk has been shown to deplete calcium from our bones.

Eating ground-up grains is like consuming sugar
Common knowledge has us believing that eating anything whole grain, especially “Oatmeal” is good for us. Things even go as far as labelling certain Instant Oatmeal products “Heart Healthy”.
Oatmeal is one of the healthiest grains we can consume. However, certain methods of processing Oatmeal are far from healthy. When it comes to Preparing oatmeal most of us are using instant oatmeal, or quick oats. Quick oats have a Glycemic index of 83 which is comparable to that of Rice Krispies, or Sugar.
